John has been an attorney with Fitzwater Mercer since 2012. He was named Partner December 2017. His practice focuses on real estate law where he advises and represents parties in real estate transactions, investing matters, civil litigation, and all other real estate matters. He also represents creditors and financial institutions in default and litigious civil actions. John has a wide array of legal experience including appellate work, wills and estates, assisting and representing clients in business startups, construction law, evictions, small claims, and collection matters, and other general litigation.
Since January 2016, John has served as a board member for Central Indiana Real Estate Investor’s Association where he acts as the legal affairs member and also presents at the monthly meetings throughout the year.
John obtained his juris doctorate degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2011, and his college degree from DePauw University in 2008, where he played collegiate soccer for four years. He enjoys living on the Northeast side of Indianapolis near where he grew up.
